Workshop on Mediterranean Sharks and Rays: LIFE PROMETHEUS Takes the Stage in Tunis

The coordinator of LIFE PROMETHEUS, Emanuela Fanelli, will be present at the workshop “Bridging Science and Policy for Shark and Ray Conservation and Management: Advancing research, management tools, and socio-economic understanding in the Southern Mediterranean”, organised in Tunis (Tunisia) by WWF, SPA/RAC, and Plan Bleu. Mediterranean experts on elasmobranch conservation will meet from the 24th to the 26th of September 2025 for three days of knowledge-sharing on Shark and Ray Conservation in the Southern Mediterranean.

The topics of this workshop will include socioeconomic aspects of conserving elasmobranchs, community engagement and communication, the science-policy interface, technical solutions, and management approaches.

The LIFE PROMETHEUS will be presented to the audience for contributing to the main aim of the workshop, which is sharing knowledge and experiences to save Mediterranean sharks and rays.
